Here's lots of photos to make up for their recent paucity...
Starting with an odd load for a baby stroller:
Wales v Samoa, Samoan bucketheads:
With Mount Pirongia looking moody in the background:
No, it didn't actually rain on us but threatened the whole time:
A weird cricket we found on the deck:
A patriotic Audi on its way to the grave via some Rugby matches:
PiwiWiwi by night:
A little stick insect that wandered over my keyboard:
The weekend before I turned 35 I decided to enter a surf competition & take us off to the Coromandel for the weekend again. Here's my board now PiwiWiwi branded at Whangamata longboard comp:
Rancid day for longboard surfing though:
These guys made something of it though, the top four:
I won a stupid hat:
Our friend, Bexie's, favourite beach:
A 'Variable Oystercatcher':
A hearty (heart attacky?) meal, tea in a pot on a doily. No wonder the bikers love this pub?!:
Points if you can name this rare(ish) bird. We've forgotten its name:
Nice little cove in a nice little bit of the Coromandel, Kuaotunu West:
We found the covershot for the surf guide. Sadly it wasn't working...
Nevermind, grub's coming. Its nice to use one of the many vans we own once in a while!
On a walk in Matapaua bay we found lots of Shags & some good views:
And a turquoise 'limpet' (That's apparently what these things are called):
Then we gunned it back up the steep gravel road, just made it over the top & went back to Kuaotunu for Pizza at 'Luke's Pizza'. Best Pizza in NZ, best atmosphere, so naturally I had two (well it was my birthday weekend)
A cool chainsaw-made sculpture in Kuaotunu:
Name that beach... I can't!
